I hired a plumber to put in 2 sinks in a new business, what happens if he didn't get permits? I am not sure if he did and now worried about that. Also would it have been his responsibility to get the permits or would it have been mine? It cost me enough and I would think that he would have had everything in order. I am in the state of Nevada, any advice would be great!!

Contact your state plumbing board to see what they say. Each state varies, and some, like Maine (where I live) vary town to town, as my husband has a plumbing license and has certain rules in Portland to follow, but a whole other set for Lewiston or Bangor.

It would be helpful to know if the sinks were replacement sinks and the plumbing was in place or if the floor was opened and they had to be roughed in. one requires a permit and the other doesn't. Cheers, Tom

Why are you asking about permits? Are you not satisfied with the plumber? In a simple sink changeout I would not permit that job. In a remodel with pipe changes a permit would be in order.
