Normal. Brown blood signifies old blood and is the normal and natural way for our bodies to cleanse themselves of old blood.

Brown blood is usually just older blood that is finally making its way out of your body.

No, it's not heavy AT ALL... it's light. But I normally only get the brown at the end... but this time it's all the way through... I'm not having a normal one at all. My whole period has been brown... :(

How many days have you been experiencing this?

For like 3 days... but it's brown with a little red.

The color has already been explained to you. Brown=old blood.

Now the fact that your flow is so light could just be due to irregularity. Women experience irregularity all through their "period having" days.

How irregular does it get though... it's VERY light and brown... somebody told me it sounds like implantation bleeding or something like that. What is that?

This can answer your questions about implantation bleeding.

Although some women experience implantation bleeding, it is actually quite rare.

Implantation bleeding is light bleeding that occurs approximately seven to 10 days after ovulation, when the fertilized egg implants itself into the uterus. Not all women experience this kind of bleeding. Irregularity can range from not getting your period one month to having a very long period. If you are concerned that you are pregnant, I would advise that you take a HPT in about a week using your first urine of the day. Good luck.

I have this experience quite a lot. I am notorious for missed periods and strange periods. If you are 17 then I bet there is very little that is "regular" about your periods. It can take years of having your period for it to become regular. For some people like me it just never happens.

But more on topic. I recently skipped a period (wasn't sexually active of at the time so it wasn't a big deal). But when I did finallyget it, it was brown the entrie time. Not even a hint of red which would be unusual for me. This is perhaps the third or fourth time this has happened in the past few years.

Another thing is that I find I have lighter periods during the summer months (no idea why) but this maybe part of the reason you are experienceing this. I personally wouldn't be to concerned.

That's obvious. But implantation bleeding is rare, and unless you go to the doctor you can't tell if it is actually implantation bleeding, or bleeding of some other sort.
