94 Nissan pick/up king cab 4 cyl. Brake Lights work but tail lights do not work. Allbulbs and fuses good. Front end hit by dear. Front end running lights not working. Is problem in swithch in steering column or are tail lights and front running lights interconnected??

Brake lights go through steering colum(signal head). Tail and Parking Lights from Headlight switch. I could believe front end damage shorted to ground and blew unfound fuse, or contact/connection to headlight switch. Without tone generator, you could make sure all wiring clear of shorts, remove headlight switch, feed power to Park light wire, all are interconnected(fused or breaker to keep from burming up wire), then look for that power at headlight switch(Parking light wire)
Now put see if you have power to that wire when headlight switch is in Park or Headlights
