    Bloody naval piercing
I just had my belly button pierced less than a week ago at first everything was pain free & I just felt a minor discomfort (needing to getting used to) it started bleeding none stop the past day & the guy who pierced it said this could be due to anemia... I would hate to take it off so I've sarted to drink iron... is there anything else I can do to help stop it from bleeding? Or is this totally not normal & needs to be removed right away?

Don't pick at it, first of all. Put some antibiotic ointment on it and put a band aid on it. Do not clean it or anything until the bleeding issue is resolved, because if it scabs up cleaning it is just going to open the scab and it will bleed again.

It's probably time to go see a doctor as it's going to get infected.

I agree, I would see a doctor, but bleeding doesn't necessarily mean its going to get infected.

Don't rub it with anything, but go to the store and buy some saline solution and sea salt. Mix the two together and rinse the wound with the solution. This will help fool your body into believing that the piercing is meant to be there, and your body will stop attacking it.

Have you changed the ring from the original piece to something else? You need to keep the original piece in until 4 to six weeks have passed.

I would also put a bit of neosporin on the wound after you have rinsed it. Then bandage it with some guaze and tape so the entire naval and ring is covered. Use a square of guaze and place it flat over the naval and tape all sides. It is possible the ring is becoming snagged on your clothing and reopening the wound. The guaze will keep that from happening until it is healed better. I would do the rinse, neosporin, clean bandage every morning and every evening for a week. If it is not showing improvement by the end of the week, go see a doctor.
