At what age does add begin
Do people get add spontaneously at any time of their life or are they always born with it?

Well they say it typically begins to appear in childhood, however symptoms can become more noticeable or severe as someone enters their teenage years. There are also cases of adult onset ADD.

If you think you have it you should definitely go talk to your doctor.

Thankss.. ive been very forgetful lately and I've been having a lot of trouble concentrating and keeping still and I've had big mood swings. I hope its just a phase cause my friends are starting to make fun of me and I've been getting into a lot of trouble. I did read the symptoms and the only thing is that I'm only really talkitive around friends and not in school but that's normal.

Is your memory kind of foggy - like you can't remember things from the day before.

Have you had a thyroid test? I got diagnosed around your age and those were a lot of my symptoms. You should never ignore any changes like that. Talk to your mom or dad or someone you can confide in and ask to go to the doctor and tell them what's been going on.

My memory is OK for the most part.. if you mean like about yesyerday, then yes I remember most things but I don't have perfect memory. I have a hard time telling my mom cause she just makes fun of me and she's always calling me an airhead so I doubt she's going to take me seriously. What's thyroid?

Your thyroid is a butterfly shaped gland in your throat and it controls pretty much all the action in your body (metabolism, temperature, affects memory, mood).

Sounds as though you may just be having normal teen hormonal problems. This should go away once your hormones regulate.
