    Shower water pressure mystery ?
About two weeks ago wife noticed when we turned shower on and pulled the gizmo on the spout to throw water up to the shower that after the shower was on for a few minutes that a very small lleak but strong line of water would start to come out of the tub spout into tub. No biggie shower still worked fine.

This week I have noticed this happens.. when I pull the gizmo on shower spout to start shower the water for shower comes on, the leak --very strong thin line of water does not come out of spout now, but I noticed the water pressure to the shower seemed to be a bit lower than normal.. after a few minutes of running shower the pressure picks up where it should be and then that mystery leak--a strong small line of water starts to come out of the tub spout ?

Any thoughts on this ? I was planning to replace the tub spout, but then this water pressure thing has got me puzzled... I still get water pressure in the shower it is just not as strong until after the shower runs for few minutes then it sudden picks up and that leak from the tub spout starts

Hard water? Calcium build up on the gizmo in the tub spout?

Unscrew the knob, and the gizmo will come out the spout on most models. Be careful to note the positioning of all the goodies that come out. Inspect, clean, etc... some models have a washer (I have a p\Price Pfister like this) and very hard water. Doesn't always seal up, replaced it several times over the years.

Hope this helps, let us know.
