I used my hair dryer the other day and the plug for the dryer got so hot that it burnt my finger. I felt the outlet and it only seemed warm because of the plug. I used the dryer in another outlet and it didn't get so hot. Any ideas? Thanks!

If connections to outlet are loose, Or receptacle old, worn, they will generate heat.
Loose connections generate heat. After Replacing receptacle, make sure plug on hair dryer
Not burnt or coroded, Or it will make new receptacle go bad. Wire brush may be all that is needed.
