I had a one night stand with this girl and we used a condom but it broke. We had sex on the 20th and she called me on the 26th and said that her period didn't come so she took a pregnancy test and it came out positive. She told me that I'm the only guy she's been with in three years. Is it possible that she's pregnant and its mine?

It is very possible that she's pregnant. Sex, protected or not, can result in pregnancy. No form of birth control is 100% effective.

Now, about it being yours, the only way you can really tell that is if you get a DNA test after the baby is born. You could take her word for it that she was telling the truth, but being that it was a one night stand, you have to wonder how many other one night stands she's had. I would get that DNA test. :)

Yes it is possible... sex=pregnancy! Now missing her period 6 days later is the only thing that makes me wonder unless she ovulated later in her cycle which is a high possibility. As star stated, get a paternity test done as soon as the child is born.

If I'm reading this question correctly it seems that she got a positive result 6 days after you had sex. I don't think that's possible even if you did get her pregnant.

It is possible that she's pregnant, no doubt. But that's why I've said that he should get a DNA test, because it all sounds fishy. Whether she had sex with other people or not, we'll never know, but to me, it sounds like she is trying to trap him into a relationship.

Yes MrsHec4 that's correct. I spoke to a few friends about this I mean we may be young but I'm not completely dumb. How can she know she's pregnant 6 days later? I think she was already pregnant and trying to trick me. But I'm going to ask my friends mom she's a nurse and see what she has to say.

MOST of the time, HPT's only pick up pregnancy after 2 WEEKS of missing your period. Some take longer. I would definitely not come to any conclusions about this being your baby YET.

But keep in mind, she could be lying about being pregnant all together, to try and lure you into a relationship. Just be careful! :)

MrsHec4 is definitely pulling up a good point. Even if you got her pregnant (which is doubtful, as from the sounds of it, her period was suppose to come within that 6 days after you did it. Still possible as every woman ovulates at different times, but typically the most prominent time to conceive is in the middle of your cycle, not at the end.) even if you did get her pregnant at that time, she would not be able to know 6 days after conception from a simple home pregnancy test. To me it sounds as though she already knew she was pregnant, but doesn't know who the dad is, or doesn't want the dad to be who it is, so she got with you in order to have you think you are the dad. Of course this is just speculation on my part, and really the only way to know for sure is to have a paternity test done after the baby is born.

Not true. I knew almost instantaniously and hpt positive waited 2 weeks for 1st dr apt. and he said I was 21/2 weeks pregnant.


Is it possible yes, probable no, not in m ost cases. I agree with the others, a blood test once the baby is born. Don't count all your chicks to you prove they are yours in this case

I know it is possible, that's why I said MOST. It doesn't happen very often.

She is playing you! There is no way possible that she could have sex with you on the 20th and be having a positive pregnancy test on 26. The dates don't add up. You don't get preganant the day you have sex. It can take anywhere from 2-5 days to happen. Then at least another 2-5 days for it to show up in a test. Very very unlikely you're the father. You are looking at 2 weeks pregnant before a positive test to come out, not 5-6 days. She was pregnant when you slept with her!

I agree with baisco the dates just don't add up. And to danielnoahsmommy I think maybe you were predicting pregnancy and got lucky. Or maybe you just know your body that well but we are obviously talking about a young girl here and I think she was already pregnant whether she knew it or not and decided that the last person she had sex with had to be the father. This just goes to show how uneducated young people are about reproduction.
