    Injection Or Pregnant
Im 18 years old and with a partner. I suffered a terrbible miscarriage back in Sept 2005 which had me hospitalised for 4 days.. Ive had the odd period here and there but they were heavy and I was hospitalised a couple of time. I decided to go back on the injection at beginning of June. I have had no period since June but I have been clotting. Is this noramel as the clots are very dark in colour. Could some one give me advice please.

    Thank you

Clotting usually isn't normal especially when on birth control. Due to your irregularity and recent depo injection the chances of you being pregnant are slim to none. The best thing that you could do right now is take a HPT and see your doctor about the clotting. Best of luck to you darling.

No period on Depo is fairly normal. I would skip about 3 or 4 periods, and then I'd have one that lasted about a month. Ugh! I hated it.

Now when you say you have been clotting, do you mean non-stop? Or every once in a while? I have had clots that are really dark before, its nothing to worry about. It is usually just old blood. :)

**EDIT** - I don't mean the clots are nothing to worry about, I mean the color.

Do you smoke? Smoking while on depo can cause clotting.

Are you experiencing non stop clotting? Or is it every once in a while? You said you have had a miscarriage, so you know what that is like. Is what is happening to you anything like that?

What I meant was that its been happening now for about 3 days. I now this is going to sound gross but we are all women, it started on Thursday when I had sex with my partner. I bled a fair bit but it was light but runny!! Since then I've not stopped clotting. Sorry to be like totally gross!

That's not gross. Like you said, we are all women ;)

You might want to see a doctor. I have never heard of sex causing anyone to clot, even on Depo.

What I am experiencing now is a bit similar (due to clots) but it is not as bad as it was when I had the miscarriage as I am in no pain at all xx

Oh right OK. So you think it is best for me to go to see a doctor and explain to them?
Do you think pelvic inflmatory disease as I was diagnosed with that last year. None of the doctors seem to take me seriously and do not give me cahnce to listen

I don't know why they wouldn't take you seriously. So you had PID, so what? Ya know? That is not a reason for doctors to not take you seriously. Have you tried switching doctors?
