Now that I have raised the floor, I was planning on raising the flange with a flange extention. I'm not sure of the proper terms, but it's basically a flat 1/4" thick piece of plastic that looks exactly the same as the top of the flange. I'm was told to put some caulking between the flange and the new extention piece and put them together lining up the holes exactly and then installing the bolts, wax ring, toilet, etc... Now, I'm not sure I need to do this because as it sits right now with the floor height increase completed, the flange is still higher than the tile I would say approx 3/16" higher. What would you recommend for me? Any advise would be appreciated.
