    Start Up Problem
    Hallo,

I am having a problem starting up my PC; when windows load (Windows XP pro) rather than get the blue screen with the windows welcome note, the PC stop responding and what I get is a dark screen with two horizontal lines on it and two reduced windows on the top right and left corners showing the blue screen that you get when shutting down windows??

At this point I have to cut off the electricity in order to switch off the PC, when switch the PC back on, I start on the "safe mode" and it works properly, shut down as normal, switch it on again and the same problem comes back.

Basically doesn't star on normal mode, crash and only works on safe mode :( :(!!

Has anybody come across anything like that before?

    Cheers

    Press2Esc
Is this a traditional CRT style monitor or LCD? If CRT style, at 1st pass it looks like the monotor horizontal sync or blanking rates are wacked out... This is a function of screen resolution. In safe mode-under device manager, check the video driver under Display (or Other Devices) for "working properly".. Also, under safemode (full screen) check all the monitor adjustments on the front for optimal setting(s).

    Good Luck,
