    Windows 2000 and WINNT
Is it normal if one really has only one OS installed, and that OS is windows 2000, with service pack 3, for WINNT to be installed on the computer?! When I try to look at the properties of WINNT, the amount of space it supposedly occupies keeps shifting, constantly. However, there are huge numbers of subfiles on my system under WINNT.

I would also appreciate information relating to remote administrators, and local security settings being overridden by settings which cannot actually be changed.

    Thank you.

Um... are you talking about the C:\WINNT directory? Since windows 2000 is a descendent of NT, then you have C:\WINNT instead of C:\WINDOWS (or at least I think so, it's been a long time).

Since that is your windows directory, lots of stuff is constantly being shifted around. Probably your swapfile is in there too...
