We recently had a second sump pump installed in the ground level of our home. There has been a excessive amount of crickets. How do we rid of them so we can enjoy the family space on our lower level?

The general principles of pest control are: Seek out the source of the infestation, deny the pest(s) forage (food to maintain their colony/nest) and harborage (a place to live that is usually conveniently located near a food/water source). If they are concentrated in an area that is overgrown with plants and is normally damp... dry the area up and remove the shrubbery.
