OK so this month I had sex only one time. He was wearing a condom and he dind't finish either. Also. I had a bladder infection in the beginging of the month so I was on medication.. the following week I had a yeast infection so I was on medication for another week.

I am now 8 days late of my period... I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative.. I took the test on the 6th missed day.

I am not sure if the medication is the reason? I'm sooo confused somebody please help me!

Medication can cause a delay in your period. Stressing about the fact that you think you are pregnant could delay it even further. These factors could even cause you to skip a cycle.

I doubt you are pregnant if you used a condom, and he didn't ejaculate, but anything is possible. Try to calm down and relax, and if your period doesn't come in another week, take an HPT or go to the doctor. If/when you take an HPT, make sure you use your first morning urine, it is the most accurate. :)

Yes some medications can cause you to have a delay in your period. A bladder infection in itself can cause a delay in period for some women. Just sit back and relax, I think you should be okay :)

Ill try to relax its just so hard... its such a scary thing being late :(

Well you have to take into consideration the fact that some factors can actually cause you to skip a period.

To me, 8 days isn't THAT late, especially if you feel strongly that you are not pregnant

I have personally skipped a period twice, and I've had my period for 12 years.

Abstinence is the best way to not get pregnant. It is 100% effective.

But don't feel like you want to turn away from sex. If you take the proper precautions you can prevent pregnancy. Just go to your doctor and get on some sort of birth control. :)

Planned Parenthood is a great resource for preventing pregnancy. I would recommend that you go and see them. :)

As I said earlier he does not need to finish to get you pregnant.

Just try not to stress out about it. If your body is stressed it will cause your period to be irregular. Just try and relax. :)
