Okay I have a friend and her older brother does crack and he has a girlfriend... they just had a kid and she had to take care of because her brothers in jail! And my friend and her brothers girlfriend hate each other! And one night the girlfriend and 3 other guys came to her house and beat her up and took the baby... she had to go to the hospital now she's a wreck and I don't know how to help her! Please give me some addvice.. also the police did nothing about this and they let her have the baby when the brother asked her to take care of it.. shes 17

Your telling me that the crimes of breaking and entering, assault, and kidnapping took place and the cops did nothing? I will flat out tell you that I don't trust cops or believe a word they say but I can't believe that given the situation you described the cops did nothing about a kidnapping.

That right something should have been done at least about her getting beat up and them breaking in... Be there for her and try to help her get her wits back. Just be a friend and be her suport. Does she have a mother or father that might want to take the girlfriend to court to get the baby? I mean she probably does crack to and no judge will stand for that

And by she I meant the girlfrind not your friend

Well her mother is sick and her real father is dead... also her step father never sees her... :( sad but true

I would call a lawyer and ask some questions. I mean how is it the cops didn't do anything. Try to get her to seek some help from someone with power. I have heard of 17 year old becoming legal gardians. Im not sure if it would work in their case but I know a girl who had to take care of her little sister and she was only 16 at the time. So give it a shot. I don't know what kind of a mother the girlfriend is but if she isn't a good one you could call child protective services on her. They sometimes let the baby stay with relatives. And if they did she would need a restraining order on the girlfriend.
