Removing Old Vinyl Tile from Cement Floor
What is the best way to remove old vinyl tile from a cement floor? The tile has been on the floor for approx. 25 years and is securely stuck to the cement.
    Thank you,
    Mary Hamilton

You'll have to get a scraper, not the small one but they have some that are on a pole where you can stand up and use them, this is what we've always had to use, not many shortcuts here,

To make your job a little easier in removing the tiles with a scraper alone, take one of them portable butane torches, and warm the tiles up first, to where they are almost rubbery, but don't hold the torch too close to the tiles, just to where the very tip of the flame barely touches the tile.

If your area is large I'd rent a tile chipper. Looks like a lawn mower with a flat chipping blade sticking out in front. This blade oscillates about 1/4 inch each stroke and makes fast work of a unfun job.

    Sounds very logical to me.
