Does anyone know where to go to research your dogs bloodline?
If your dog was registered with the American Kennel Club (Canadian Kennel Club) when it was born, if both parents were purebreds, then you can find out from the club. If you dog is registered then you would have the papers giving parents and their names and the registered name of the pup. The information contained in this paper will allow you to research the bloodline.
I have not registered my dog with the akc. He is a purebred gsd and I was looking for an easy site to search?
I do have the mother and fathers name and was told that his grandfather was ranked third in germany a couple of years ago.
The best way to find out is to speak with the breeders who sold you the dog. If they are serious breeders, they have that information along with paperwork to back up any of their claims. Without that paperwork, whatever you were told is lip service, and it is impossible to validate the information.
