    Plumbing in bathtub p-trap
We are in the process of replacing a bath tub, we pulled it out and noticed a piece of plastic pipe sticking out of the hole in the floor. It was sort of laying over. When we moved it, it just pulled up and it wasn't connected to anything. There was tons of dirt in the hole in the cement. How do we connect it back to the drain in the ground? As far as we feel down the hole there is not drain pipe. What can we do?

Thank you in advance for any advice you give.

    Sincerely,
    K Adams

What you pulled up was the traps raiser. There's a "P" trap down there if you dig down far enough. Be sure all the dirt's removed before installing the new tub. Good luck, Tom
