    Hot water heater
About 5 days ago I noticed my hot water heater was leaking in at least two places. For the last 2 days there have been no leaks and I continue to have hot water. This is in a hair salon so we use a lot of hot water. What's up?

Can you describe where the leaks were? A fitting? A solder joint? The T&P valve? Where?? Regards, Tom

    Hot water heater

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hot water heater was leaking at the overflow valve and on the top of the heater where a pipe comes out (possibly a solder joint) it was dripping from the bottom also but I couldn't tell if it was dripping at the bottom or if it was just overflowing and dripping from what looks like a space in the bottom where it had collected.

Do you have a sprinkler system a check valve or a PRV,(Pressure Regulating Valve)? The leaking pipe will have to be cleared of moisture and resoldered. The T&P valve's leaking from a pressure increase most likely caused by one of the above. Regards, Tom
