Who are the most famous scientists of all time?

I say... albert einstein... linus pauling... sir isaac newton

Einstein, Pauling, Newton, Curie, Kepler, Rutherford,

Quite a lot of scientists are well known to the general public.

Don't forget Galileo - he basically defined the scientific method.

Also Charles Darwin (of course!) and the pair of James Watson and Francis Crick.

Dawkins is fairly well known. Although not necessarily for his scientific work :)
