Both of my sister-in-laws have taken the injections to help clear up endometriosis and my sister is about to start treatment next month.

One of my sister-in-laws was in stage 2 of endometriosis. It cleared and she is now trying to have children.

The other SIL is in stage 4 and using it as pain management.

My sister who is also in stage 4 will be using it for pain management as well.

I have taken one shot in May 2007, and the "pretend menopause symptoms" are just about to cause me to loose my mind. Before the shot, I was not emotional, and now a Campbell soup commercial can either make me mad or make me cry. During the night and day, sweating to death one minute and freezing the next.

I have endometriosis and am 34 yrs old. I have it on my bladder and bowels. I have mostly bladder and bowel problems as opposed to extreme bleeding or pain. Intercourse is painful at times also. I do have painful periods at times but not bad enough to undergo a hysterectomy.

I am undecided whether to take my next shot due in August 07. My symptoms have not improved with my bladder or bowels but I have heard if you take the three month shot as I did, it may take the second shot to tell the difference.

I don't know your reason for lupron but me personally I am still waiting for the light at the end of the tunnel. Good luck!

    Hang in there Kygal.
It took 2 injections for both of my SIL's to get past the side effects.
They pondered the idea of not taking the second injection also, but now say that they are glad they did.
They both felt much better after the second one (mentally and physically)

I am on my first shot and will be taking a second (3 mon injections) I have a few headaches and seldom night sweats or hot flashes and if I do they don't last but a few min. I have been on it for a month and my life is getting stressful and I am starting to have emotional issues of anger, and crying. I didn't before so I think its related to everything else in my life and cause I am sensitive now that's why I am acting this way. If you get it and it is too much for you to handle there is a pill you can take daily to suppress the side effects. It is so worth it to me even if I cry all the time. I have stage 4 endo with tons of scar tissue, my doc said it was one of the worse cases he has seen and I'm 25. I am taking it so later in life I have a chance to have children. Its not a forever shot and I will take my next one happily.
