Well I am 30 years old and have been on the depovera shot for 7 years now. Presently I am noticing changes in my body and self such as my attitude at times I become real sensitive to people words and tend to get teary eyed. At times I feel like being bothered but most times I'm aggravated for no reason at all. My face breaks out often. When I get irritated my lower part of stomach aches. Also, my hands and feet tend to swell. My question is can this be from the birth control or can it be something other than.

The swelling of the hands and feet (also called Edema) is caused by fluid retention, and it is on the list of serious side effects of the Depo Provera. This should be discussed with your doctor ASAP.

I would think about getting on another form of birth control. Depo is by far the worst birth control available. It has the worst side effects, and after getting off the shot it takes the longest to fully be worn out of your body :)
