    Work flirtation
Here goes... in an attempt to be bold and make the first move, I was flirting with this guy that I work with who's a year younger and very flirtatious with the girls we work with, myself included. Recently, we were engaging in our usual banter about how he knows which girls like him and listed off a few names, myself included. He then went on to joke about how he was in a band and how I would have "loved to be in the front row as he rocked out with his **** out." He's 19, yes it was an immature comment, but most guys my age joke like that regardless. Anyway, as we were walking out to our cars in the parking lot I asked him if we hadn't worked together "Would I have had a shot?" and he responds, "I never tell." so I took that as a no and before he gets into his car he goes, "And you'll never know."

So, I brushed it off and didn't give it another thought until now. We still flirt, and I know there's one particular girl he said he had a crush on, but he's said on more than one occasion because she's older than him, he doesn't think she'd ever go for him. He's asked me before what's the youngest I would date and I said no younger than a year, which is the truth. He hits on everyone, so I shouldn't take it to mean anything, but he's a crush and second opinions would be great.

Sounds like he is a very confident young man. LOL
Which is a good thing, don't get me wrong, that's a very attractive quality to have.
He probably likes the flirty attention and the positive feed back it brings to him.
Even if he's not interested in dating, it's an ego booster for him to be flirty.

Well if I were you I'd play hard-to-get if you want a serious thing with this guy. Obviously I don't know him, but given that he's young, flirtatious and probably thinks he's hot sh!t, you need to play the game with him.

If he thinks he has you, and then you start to lose interest, he might work harder to get at you. Then look interested for a while, and pull away. You might even flirt with another guy in front of him.

If that sounds really under-handed, consider that he's probably doing the same thing to every other girl he flirts with... so really you're just playing the same game he is. All's fair in love and war, after all.

I do question whether this guy's really worth your time, though... what are you after? Do you want to try and date him exclusively? Or do you just want one night of hot, wet jungle love? :D

Quite honestly... I just like the idea of testing the waters by flirting back with him here and there. I'll be working on something, he'll come over and just start talking to me for awhile, and I don't go over to him. It's a crush, but more so I'm a little rusty with the dating scene so its fun to not worry about looking stupid. We've talked about past relationships, and I think he's just into dating around, not limiting himself to one person. Although one night of hot, wet, jungle love wouldn't be so bad because on a strictly superficial level, he's very attractive, huno! The girl he said he has a crush on though is nice, but I'm very sarcastic towards him. Instead of being all over him like every other girl, I call him out for having a big ego, I give him a hard time and talk back to him if he starts with me. Ah, banter... lol. It just feels good to flirt sometimes, especially coming off the emotional rollercoaster you've read about over and over, you know?

Well, it sounds like you're handling it well--that is, you're not taking it too seriously. That's good--that's progress. :)

For now, keep doing what you're doing. It sounds like you're well on your way to becoming a professional heart-breaker. :D

He is jacking his gums like most young guys are likely do, and isn't serious just trying to be the big stuff. Have fun but don't put any eggs in his basket.

Eh... turns out he very recently (within the last wk) became official with another one of the girls we work with. I was slightly bummed about it, but its no big deal. At this point... I'm just tired of being single, not even like I want a boyfriend right now, but a date would be nice =/
