Cana rewire or connect a 3 prong plug to a regular chandelier outlet?

Please clarify - are you trying to attach a 3-prong plug to the electrical cord of a chandelier in order to be able to plug it into a standard socket?

I'm sorry. This is an outdoor chandelier that came with a 3 prong plug and I was wondering if I can cut the 3 prong plug off and wire it as I would a regular chandelier.

Should be fine, although you will need some way to protect/strain relieve the cord where it enters the electrical box in the ceiling.
