    Comparing brands of electrical components
    Hi,
Are Square D brand electrical components ( electrical service panels, service disconnects etc.) any better than Siemens brand components or is this just a personal preference thing?
Thanks again Mr TK Russell for answering all my previous questions.

Square D and Siemens are all manufactured to specifications issued by UL and ANSI, and are very much equal in performance. Marketing and profit margins dictate the differences in prices. Square D is owned by a French corporation, so that may be some reason for price differences.

We use both, along with GE gear. Usually is due to price for that project or job. All three are offered by engineering firms in job specifications as being equal.

Use either with no fear of better or worse. Get the best deal, and purchase what will appear to look the best in your application.

Don't just use my opinion, compare to others that may offer their opinion.

And your very welcome, my pleasure.
