    Proving employment
I'm a nanny for a family.. I watch their daughter, and do some housekeeping while her parents work. I get paid under the table. I've been on a waiting list for subsidized child care for over a year for my daughter and they finally called me back and scheduled an interview. At the interview I need to bring proof of my employment. How can I prove I work for this family? All I can think of is a written and noterized document stating I work for them. Does anyone else have ideas that prove my employment is 100% no doubt believeable? Thanks!

If you are getting paid "under the table" that means there is no proof. If your employer was doing this "by the books" then they should require you file a W-9 as a subcontractor and make you responsible for your taxes and social security contributions or paying them for you.

Why don't you ask the agency what they will accept? Will a cancelled check work or the notorized statement you referred to.
