I got the birth control depo shot 6 months ago and I haven't had another one can I get pregnant yet?

I believe you have to get depo every 6 months. If you haven't had a new shot you have a chance or getting pregnant if you use no other method of birth control.

You can get pregnant even with the shot. The only form of birth control that is 100% effective is abstinence.

Now, if you are talking depo provera, it is to be given every three months, not every six, so your likelihood is higher right now.

I was on the Depo shot for 1 year (4 shots) that was 3 years ago and I have been trying to get pregnant for 8 months and nothing yet. It messes you up! Please don't take it again, just use some other form of birth control. But, just because that is happening to me, does not mean it will happen to you. You could very well get pregnant if you are not using any protection.
