Hi, is DSL better then ADSL connection? Can I adopt a DSL connection for my home? Presently I have an ADSL one, if yes and if DSL is better for online gamming, please tell me how should I go for it?
Thanks in advance

ADSL is your best bet for most applications, since it's simply a subcategory of DSL. With non-ADSL DSL, called SDSL, you'll experience slower download rates and faster upload rates. SDSL also tends to be more expensive than ADSL, and you'd also be unable to use the phone lines for telephone service with SDSL. Your current service sounds like it'll work for you nicely, I'd recommend you stick with it.
DSL is the acronym for the DSL family of high-speed lines offerd by telco. Adsl is but one subgenre.

SDSL does NOT affect your phone line at all.
With SDSL you up and down rate are the same.
Yes it is massively more expensice.
In a home environment this is completely unneeded.
There are a vast amount of ADSL suppliers around and speeds and prices vary greatly
