    Maddening itch!
    Hi all,

Lately I have been really really itchy, particularly around my calves and ankles and feet. My little toes have some redish bumps on them that seem to be little blisters of some kind, but they are not as itchy as my feet and legs.

What could be causing this? I keep my feet dry and clean, and atheletes foot stuf doesn't work, it is not that. Any suggestions about how to rid myself of this itch?

:( It is so bad that I broke the skin from scrathing, I know I should not have! :(

Itching around calves and ankles (and toes) reminds me of flea bite itching. Do you have animals in your house, or have you been anywhere where there has been?

Yes, we have cats and kittens. I took them all to the vet to be de-flead. We had them once, and I had bite marks on my skin. Where my calves are itching there is nothing at all, just a massive itch.

Are you around high grass? Chiggers can make you go mad!

Not really. Its insane, because every body tells me I must be imagining it. There are no bumps, just an irritation.

Maybe you just have a dry skin irritation. I have a problem with dry scalp that itches like crazy when I get hot. Have you seen your doctor?

Yes, she has taken blood tests. We think we are on to something.
