    Sewer odor in basement
    Hi,
I've had sewer odor in my basement for over a week now and can't seem to pinpoint the source. At certain times of the day the odor is stronger. I've checked all P traps in the house. All drains seem to function OK. I've smelled at the base of both toilets upstairs and basement, no odor. Ran hose water down all 3 roof plumbing vents and no backups all seemed to drain fine. The smell can be very sickening at times. I can't seem to find a drain in the basement. We bought the tri-Level in 1980 unfinished basement, but had the utility room finished with toilet [in basement]. I finished the rest of the basement with linoleum tiles and wouldn't have covered a drain. Do you suppose there could be a dryed up drain in the utility room a worker mistakenly covered with linoleum. Odor is sometimes present in the upstairs bathroom also and entry level livingroom. Help please!

I'm guessing you don't have the original plans...

    Drain in wall?

Studor vent malfunctioning somewhere in the utility room?
