    Miscarriage or Period
My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since January, but my cycle has been very irregular. This month, I was supposed to start on Sunday and took a digital pregnancy test on Tuesday morning, which was negative. I started my period that Thursday and it was unusually light and had stopped by Saturday. I was even thinking of taking another test, when my period started back up again. It was spotting at first for a couple of days then started to get heavier over the weekend. It is Monday and I have had fairly heavy bleeding for me (a regular tampon about every three to four hours). I have been having bleeding now for almost two weeks and today I had some clots of blood, not really big but clots. I have a doctor appointment on August 1, but I was wondering if I take another pregnancy test now would a positive result indicate that I am probably miscarrying and shoud go to the doctor sooner, or is it just possibly a really long period that has gotten progressively worse?

Are you experiencing any severe (like interfering with your daily routine) abdominal cramping?

I did lay down and rest today because of the cramps I was having, but I do not normally have cramps, so I am not used to that pain. Last month during my period I started cramping one night so bad it woke me up, but they were gone by morning (that was the first time I have had cramps since I stopped taking the pill in January). I could function today, but the pain was there.

You said you have been progressively getting worse over 2 weeks right? If so, I don't think it is a miscarriage. A miscarriage is usually over by 2 weeks, and it will get worse, but then go away.

I know this is an insult to some women, but how old are you?

I am 24. Never pregnant, never miscarried to my knowledge.

Take a look at this and tell me if it fits you in any way : Endometriosis

If so, get to the doctor :)
