My name is Alicia and I'm really nervous, mabye just paranoid though. My boyfriend and I had PROTECTED sex(checked the condom afterwards and everything) and two days after that I got my period. It has been a month now and my next period is late. Should I be at all woried about this? I have some constipation but no other syptoms that could mean pregnancy. I just can't ignore the late period though.

There are many factors that can cause a late period, such as stress, diet and some medications. Keep in mind that no form of birth control is 100%, so pregnancy is always a possibility.

The best way to know for sure is to take an HPT. Make sure you use your first morning urine as it is more accurate. If you do not get your period within a month, go to your doctor and ask for a blood test.

If you end up not being pregnant, discuss with your doctor what could be causing your late period. Just remember, do not stress out about this, it will only prolong your period :)
