Red color pill reached but no period - Birth control Pill
    Hi All,

I am on Birth Control Pills (Lutera- 28 pack one) since past 4-5 months. My periods start when I reach the 4th week, i.e when the red color pills start. According to this, my red color pill dosage started yesterday (Sunday) but my periods did not. Am I worrying too much since its been only one day or should the period start exactly on the day the red color pill starts. Please let me know as I am a little worried. Thank you.

Any kind of hormonal birth control can cause your periods to go out of whack. Keep taking the red pill, your period should come because you are not taking the hormonal pill. :)

It was helpful. Thank you. So I shouldn't worry too much about being pregnant, right? Thanks again for your reply.

No birth control is 100% effective, however if you have been taking your pills everyday, regularly, like you are supposed to, it is highly unlikely that you are pregnant :)

I don't mean to scare you, but I did get pregnant while on birth control pills. Yes, I was taking them everyday and never got sick. No birth control is 100% effective. However, I wouldn't worry about the delayed period yet. When I was taking birth control pills my period didn't start until about the 3rd sometimes 4th day of taking the inactive pills.
Just relax and wait. I am sure it will come.
Also, if you just started taking the pills or switched brands it can throw your cycle off and cause you to possibly miss a period all together.
    Hope this helps.

Yes it helps. I'll wait for a couple of days to see if I get my period. Thanks.

I agree with bekah, I took mine correctly and I still conceived... but I agree wait, if you haven't started by then end of the pack go take a HPT.

Sometimes it is common for your cycle to be out of sync, with the pill I am on I get hardly any periods at all. Karalyn if you have just had a baby then it can take months for your cycle to return to normal as it has to get rid of all the hormones you had during pregnancy, but it is sometimes advisable to use two methods of contraception as no contraception is 100%

The next one was supossed to have started on Sunday and I'm already on my 4th red pill. Im scared why is my period delaying because my cycle is 26 days long and now I'm on my 28th day. Please help
