    Am I pregnant?
    Hello,
I have not had my period for 22 days. I had taken a pregnancy blood test 5 times and it was negative. I went to the gyn, and they did an ultrasound and found out that my lining of my uterus is thickened (7 mm) and I have free fluid but its empty .I am having most of the early pregnancy signs. AM I PERGNENT?

Please help. If anyone knows what I can do to find out and how soon, it would be greatly appreciated.

Did you have the vaginal ultrasound, or the one on your tummy?

I am thinking you are probably not pregnant. You said you haven't had a period for 22 days, right? Most women have a cycle of 28 days, so it is probably still on its way.

Usually when your lining is thick it means you are about to start your period or its very early in a pregnancy, also when you are about to start you can have some signs associated with being pregnant

I agree with the other posts. If you are on day 22 of your cycle this would be too early for an hpt to detect if you are pregnant. I know they say you can test 5 days before the missed period, but I don't think they are acurate that early. Wait until your missed period before you test.
Like the other posts said a thick lining could be your body getting ready to begin your period. Be patient and wait until that missed period. Until then, sit back and relax

Have you experienced any nausea, vomiting?

You need to get to a doctor by any means necessary. Either you are pregnant, and that explains the delay in period, or you're not pregnant, and you need to talk with a doctor about why you haven't gotten your period.

Are at home pregnancy tests available where you are? (I know that's probably a stupid question to you, but I really don't know) :)

Thanks for the support that mean A lot to me!

When did you have an ultrasound? The reason I ask is that you are probably barely 7 weeks along right now if you are pregnant. Most of the time, the baby can hardly be detected prior to 5/6 weeks along on ultrasound. There is no significant heartbeat, so it wouldn't be picked up, and the cluster of cells, would be just that, not a recognizable baby. It is possible the hormone levels are not high enough yet to show on a pregnancy test. I would do as the others suggested and get to a doctor again. Ask for another ultrasound. At 7 weeks they should be able to locate a baby if it is there. If not, demand they start looking into the reasons your period has not come.

It is possible with the home pregnancy test, but it seems to me like the blood test would have said positive if you are pregnant. I think it is safe for you to request another blood test. If you get another one, and it comes out negative, you more than likely aren't pregnant :)

Its hard for anyone to tell you the EARLY signs of pregnancy because they are different for every woman. You might never feel nausious the entire time, so you can't go by that. ALL you can do is take another pregnancy test and go back to your doctor.
Also, stress can delay your period for several weeks. There could be lots of factors here.

According to my pregnancy calendar (which are not always right), if the first day of your last period was June 1st, your approximate date of conception was June 15th, which would make you around 5 weeks and 4 days pregnant.

**EDIT** - Also, this would make your due date around March 7, 2008

That is, if you even are pregnant :)

If the first day of your last period was June 1st, you would be 7 weeks LMP (5 weeks gestational), as I said... a baby would show on the ultrasound... the symptoms you are describing could be anything... even psychological. Im not trying to say anything, but Im fairly positive they would have located the baby or at least the yolk sack at 7 weeks.

Keep one thing in mind though, going by the date of your last period is not an accurate method. An ultrasound is the best way to determine how far along you are, and when your due date is :)

This is true, but most doctors will go by LMP date until a 18/20 week ultrasound provides more accurate date. But I also got March 7 as a due date.

My doctor told me a due date going by my LMP, and she said it was just to give me a general idea of when I would be delivering, and to not take to heart the due date she gave me.

Besides, its rare that anyone actually delivers on their due date anyway :)

AMEN to that. My due date changed close to 3 times with each pregnancy, I was always told to go with the last one given... I don't think any of them actually have an honest answer as to when... its all just estimated guessing. LOL.

My due dates with my second son were changed a couple of times as well. After all the due dates they gave me, he wasn't born on a single one of them.. lol :)

Mine weren't either... actually I know of no one who did deliver on their due date... with the exception of one of my sisters who had a scheduled c-sec.
