    Wiring Honeywell TH8321U1006
I have purchased a Honeywell TH8321U1006 programmable thermostat to replace my old standard thermostat.

My old thermostat (Janitrol) was wired this way:

    Yellow wire to Y
    Green wire to G
    Red wire to R
    Brown wire to O
    Blue wire to C
    White wire to W2
    Jumper from W2 to E

I tried wiring to identical locations on the new thermostat, but I do not get AC. The fan blows, but does not cool.

The new thermostat has conventioanl contacts labeled: RC, R, W, Y, G, C on the right and Y2, W2, S1, S2 on the left. Heat Pump connections are labeled: RC, R, O/B, Y, G, C on the right and Y2, L, E, Aux,S1,S2 on the left.

It came with a jumper installed between RC and R.

    Any suggestions? Thanks!

The same color wires will hook up to the same terminels, the white wire will connect to "AUX" .Brown to "O",blue to "C",You need to program your thermostat to tell it that this is a heat pump, this information is in the home owners manual. Mike
