I'm usually pretty good about taking my pill but this month has been really hectic with the time changes. I've taken it at the same time (1pm where I live, 3pm when I was on the east coast and 9 pm while I'm in france) but the first week I was 1-2 hours late like 2 days. My boyfreind and I had sex 3 or 4 times the week after that (second week) I've been on the pill (more specifically ortho tricyclen) for 3 months (this week being the last of the 3rd pack) however, I'm in france and lost the last two active pills. Rather than worry about it, I just skipped them cause while I'm here I'm not going to be sexually active. Now, 3 days into no pills and I'm getting that gross brown discharge. I haven't been on the pill long enough to really know what's typical but I'm freaking out a little cause I missed the last two pills. What could be the complications of not taking those last two active pills?

The brown discharge is normal. Just old blood. We all have that usually at the beginning and again at the end of our cycles.

Now, the issue of the missing pills. Since you are not active while in France it shouldn't be a problem. Just start taking the new pack when directed.

Just out of curiousity, can the discharge still happen when pregnant? (I had it the first month and then not the second). I'm not too worried about it but it would definantly suck.
