    Hears the deal {just to chetch you up} I'v lived with my father for 15 years and I see my mom every other weekend... He has a wife now {my mom and dad devorced when I was like 2} theve been together for 10 years... she's 28 and he's 45.. {eeeww} My mom is sigle and has her own house {as dose my dad} he is controlling and an I've lost any respect I had for him over the past 2 yearsish... he's never home (working as a guide) and Im stuck with my evil step and her 2 kids... she's a very powerstruggle imature person... I do not like were I live and I wish to live with my mom Im 15 and turn 16 in about 2 months (september 3rd) what can I do... my father won't just let me go he freeks out at the mention of it and then sends me on a guilt trip... I want out now help me!

    Pretty much, depending on which state you live in, you're at and have been at the age where you can say who you want to live with and nobody can say otherwise. I know that when I was 12, after years of my mother fighting for me, the courts let me go with my mother, no questions. I live in PA. I don't know what the age is now, since I'm 28 and a lot has changed since then but you're almost 16, that's got to be old enough. Talk to your mom about it and ask her to get legal advice. That's probably the best option. Good luck hun :)

    Yes, I think your mom will have to petition the court for a change. If she's stable and responsible and you want to go live with her, the chances are quite good that the court will allow it. It's going to take some time to make it happen though. If your dad is against it, your mom should get an attorney to handle it. Let us know how it goes.
