My sprinkler pump works fine I have good pressure but the pump makes a loud screaming sound. I think my neighbors are upset with me. How can I fix the problem?

If it is new, I would return it. It is either defective or poorly designed. It is time consumers resist unnecessarily noisy devices. If it has developed over time or quickly, the seal may be going bad. Unless it is an expensive pump, it may be about as cheap to replace it.
Check and lube the bearings on both the motor and the impeller shaft. If they are sealed then a bearing has cracked and the noise you hear is the bearing biting into the shaft and like Labman suggested, Replace or repair the pump. Cheers, TomQuote:
