Not a bad thing, dating is all good and you are close in age, so go for it

As long is there is no sex that is okay. But if you are planning on having sex it may be illegal in your area of the world, thus giving you the title of sex offender.

Also, remember that if you plan on having sex this means that you plan on being a father.

I live in the U.S, so as long as I'm not 18, its OK I thought.

Doesn't matter really, I plan on waiting.

Glad you plan on waiting. But each state here in the US has different age limits.

Both of you are 2 young , but if she doesn't have any boyfriend , yea of course you should go for it

Too young in what way? Its not uncommon for 16 year old boys to date 14 yr old girls. If you like each other and enjoy each other's company I don't see a problem, Now if you were 18 that would be a big difference.

If, however, you are asking about having sex with her, the answer is yes, she is too young (so are you). Having sex with her can get you arrested for statutory rape in most places.

A thousand years ago when I was 14 and the guy was 16, we "dated" with other kids, in a group. We went on hikes and hayrides and had square dances and went bowling and went out to eat and for ice cream. A couple of the older guys had cars, but most of the time we got together in a nearby town where most of the kids lived. When I turned 16, the guy and I began dating as a couple.

Like ScottGem said, your age difference isn't too great. In today's world there should be enough to do to keep you from being bored when you're together. Both sets of parents should know this and have met the one not their kid.

Nope, the issue is more the girl's age. If she is underage, you can be charged with statutory rape.

For future reference, please don't ask the same question in multiple forums.

    Questions merged.

Now, in the state of Texas the age of consent is 17. However, remember what her dad might do if he finds out you two are having sex, even kissing.

Absolutely nothing is wrong. It's a two year difference. Go for it - but don't rush it, she may not be ready for a huge relationship at 14.
