how do u simplify and write in scientic notation

I am having problems solving an equation like this can u help explain :confused:

4.8x10 with the power of 9

2.4x10 with the power of -3

you can use the rule $\frac{a^b}{a^c} = a^{b-c}$

$\frac{4.8*10^9}{2.4*10^{-3}} = \frac{4.8}{2.4}*\frac{10^9}{10^{-3}} = 2*10^{9-(-3)} = 2*10^{12}$

10 the power of 4 divided by 10 to the power of 1
