    Intermiten power from outlet?
After a storm I have been having problems from an outlet and about half the house...

I get power to my stove to 4 outlets and 4 lights for a while then all the sudden the power goes out completely for them. I don't understand what could be causing the sudden loss of power the breakers never trip... power just goes away and comes back when it wants to. Only to certain circuit within the house... I had to move the fridge to a different part of the house cause of this...

Any ideas what it could be?

There is a loose connection in the system, which starts at the utility transformer, aerial connections and cables, meter socket, main breaker, and connections all in between.

Looking for this problem requires expert knowledge of this equipment, I suggest a good service electrician and the utility come out at the same time and investigate.

Thanks... I couldn't understand it I had checked everything in the house none of the outlets had wiring problems neither did the breaker box...

Ill call the utility company first thing Monday now that I see the neighbors tree branch is resting pretty hard on the utility lines...

Electric utilities, at least all the ones I know, work 24/7, and I believe they would want to know about this branch ASAP. And if the branch is affecting your neutral, this can cause damage to electrical devices in your home that you will not believe.

It might be that way in the city but I live in a small quiet town...

I called them up this morning they arrived within an hour of calling them and fixed the problem one of the wires coming from the utility pole had almost been severed completely

That could have been bad... neighbors could have gotten a shock
