    Ceiling fan remote
I have a ceiling fan that is operated by a Litex remote control. It was working fine. I replaced the nine volt battery, but after reconnecting the connections it does not work! The fan will not go on. The display screen on the remote has an image of a battery in the right corner that shows a battery that has an X through it and this pulsates slightly, The light indicator shows up at 188% of capacity and the indicator for fan speed is on high.

There is a small switch board with small slots just above the wires. I did notice the second slot had its switch pulled down , but resetting that or manipulating other switches in different configurations had no effect.

    Any ideas?

If those are DIP switches, they need to match the fan receiver.
Verify you have a good battery.

    Basically, yes.

Are you sure the original battery was the problem, and not the remote itself? What was it doing RIGHT before you replaced the battery?
