During the recent rain storm, water came through by air conditioning unit and pooled in the center of my living room floor. As the floor dried I saw the damage that was left: 4 floor boards are warped at the seams. I called the installers and was told that nothing can be done -- that the entire living room floor would have to be removed and redone. Is my only other alternative an area rug? I paid a lot of money to have the floors done. :( HELP!!

But It Can Be Done And Here's How! If It Is Next To The Wall As It Sounds It Is
You Have To Tear Out A Few Rows Of Flooring, Make Sure You Can Get More Floor That Matchs, First Pull The Shoe Molding Up From The Base, Second Take A Flat Bar Or Pry Bar And Pop Up The First Row Of Flooring, It Snaps In Place So You'll Have To Pull Up And Push Out And Away From The Rest Of The Floor, Keep Doing This Till You Have Removed The Damaged Floor, And Then
Just Start Placing The New Floor Back, Where The Job Gets Hard Is When The Damaged Floor Is In The Middle Of The Room, This Is When You Have To Pull Up Half The Room Just To Get To The Damaged Area, But Here It Seems Its Close To The Wall. Now Don't Get Me Wrong Its Easy To Talk About It, But It Is A Pain To Do. But It Can Be Done.
