Water pressure gauge does not move
I noticed the other day that the water pressure gauge is at 48 psi and does not move. The pump cuts in after several minutes of running the water and cuts out a couple minutes later. I did not notice any change in duration to when the pump cuts in and when it turns off. Can it be that I have a bad pressure gauge? Does the square D operate on the pressure gauge or does it have switches that work on water pressure? I guess, I'm asking, is the water pressure gauge just a gauge for the homeowner to see the pressure and the system really works by the system D switch having internal controls that monitor the water pressure?

    Any information would be great.

The pressure gage is for the home owners information and it sounds like it's faulty. It does not affect the operstion of the pump. The Square "D" pump control is the device that tells the pump when to turn on and when to shut off. Regards, Tom
