Nursing cat - thin - No kitties?
I have a cat that had 3 kittens, we gave the kittenss to a good home but the mother is still nursing and is very thin. If you pet the side of her stomach you can feel the difference between her actual stomach and where her milk is. Is this okay?

Her milk should dryup soon. Also have you checked her for worms? Maybe you need to feed her kitten food until she picks some of her weight.Btw Pregnant and nursing mamma's should be on kitten food. If you do not have her spayed she will go back into heat soon. I was at the shelter the other day and the shelters are over flowing with kittens and cats. I am quite sure some will be put down(killed) as there is not enough homes for all of them.
