    I like this boy, but.
I like this boy, but my best friend likes him too. I know for a fact that he likes me, and we have hung out a few times. His parents like me, and my parents love him, so we have that going for us. The only thing is, my friend doesn't know I like him. What makes it worse is that the past few times we hung out, he kissed me, and I tried to not kiss him back because of my friend, but I'm only human, and when a person you like kisses you, you kiss back. My friend doesn't know anything that has happened between me and him, and I want to tell her, but I'm afraid it will hurt her. Any advice?

Sometimes things in our life aren't always what we want them to be, and sometimes you cannot help who you are attracted to. To be honest if a friend and I find ourselves liking the same person then something is seriously wrong. We both would have to make a decision on what to do as far as that goes. I mean it's more than one attractive guy out there. Nothing is worth losing a friendship over, especially if it was a good one to begin with. You can always get another man, but true friends are hard to come by.

She'll understand. I mean she can't force the guy to like her. The relationship between you and him needs to flow freely since you already know you like each other. And as for your friend, find the best way to tell her cause she'll find out anyway.

The only thing with this is, she went out with him 3 years ago. And he's also one of my best friends. I just don't want to ruin anything. I mean, I have liked him for almost a year.

Let go. Let everything flow like it will. Their relationship is over now isn't it? Don't make it a big storm. Liking someone and feeling guilty about it is not a happy experience.
Well but do something about it though. Good luck.

There relationship is deffinitely over. And I noticed its not a happy experience. I have never been so miserable in my life as I have been since I found out she likes him again.

She's not the only one with a right to have something to do with him, so what are you waiting for... say it out loud and free yourself!

I guess, I'm just worried that it will hurt her. If I knew she would just be mad, I could handle it, but I don't want to hurt her or make her sad.

Been there, done that. I gave up the guy of my dreams for a friend and wanna know what happened? My friend dated him for 2 weeks and ended up dumping him because she didn't know the "real him". You should consult. I know you don't want to hurt your friend, but it's how you feel, she will understand your feelings and probably let you have him. Have they even hung out or anything?... Do they know anything about one another? Just tell your friend that you like him and that you have a great chance with him.:)

Well they have hung out before, but it was like friends he told me, and they went out, so they know a few things about each other. I want to think that she had her chance, and that it didn't work out for a reason, but I can't help but think that maybe he likes her too.

Then why not ask him? The only way you're gonna be able to do anything about your situation is if you actually say something, not if you just sit around and hope something will happen. Make things happen for you.:)
