My Basset has a nasty bladder infection probably caused by steroids according to the vet. She had a tranquilizer shot last night to help with her restlessness. She is eating a little today, but I can't get her to drink. I tried salt-free broth in place of water. She eats canned food, so is getting a little water. Any ideas?

Try ice chips. Also add a little of water to her food.

Add some broth to her water.

Get back with the vet. Follow up calls should be free. Don't get caught in a crisis over the weekend.

dwm, please call the vet as labman suggests. He is right, vets rarely charge for a follow up phone call. If your dog doesn't respond to the suggestions here, you need to have a solution to the problem before the weekend.
