    Child's last name
I am getting married and when I change my last name my daughter also wants to change her name. Since she only hears from her biological father maybe twice a year she wants to stay the same as me since me and my fiancé are her parents. How do I go about changing her last name?

I'm pretty sure you will need to go to the court house and file for a name change. I know I saw those forms on the wall one time when I had to go down to the courthouse. Or you could possibly check with a family attorney who does name changes. It's probably going to cost a couple hundred bucks, but it shouldn't be hard to do.

You have to go to court... but you need the biofather agreement for this changing... or to show that it is in yhe best interest of the child that she has to have different family name...
