If nausea accompanies the headaches it could be a migraine. Is she on birth control pills? If so, she should let her doctor know ASAP about the headaches. She may need another type of BCP.

Get her to keep a food/headache diary also include her periods and medication she takes for them and whether in works. The doc will probably ask for this so go prepared and she might get diagnosed more quick.

I agree with the above poster it is probably migraines (scruge of my life!) but if the are migraines without an aura they are not dangerous with BC, if they are go get them changed. Does the birth control pill worsen migraines? - Your Health - MSNBC.com

If these headaches are aggrevated by light/sound/smells, cause her to feel sick and tend to be on one side of her head they are probably migraines. Horrible but not serious (easy to say) Good luck

I notice that this is in child and teen health. I am curious about her age. Some girls get intense headaches along with hormonal changes that accompany the teen years.
