Moderate abdominal pain, heavy red bleeding
    Hello,

So I'm asking this on behalf of my girlfriend (and well, myself of course)! Today she told me that she started to experience moderate to heavy vaginal bleeding, a red color, she mentioned that it wasn't normal period blood. Also, accompanying this were painful 'spikes' of abdominal pain. I've been looking online, but was wondering if anyone had any idea what is going on. Oh! Nearly forgot to mention; she had her normal period about a week ago.

    Thanks!

Any unexplained vaginal bleeding should be checked out by a doctor immediately!

Large clots and painful periods, usually are a sign of fibriods, but to be sure you need to talk to a physcian.I know going to the dr. is worrysome, but not knowing what could be happening inside your body is not healthy either. The stress of worry will cause other problems to develop.
